The Hubz' Shirt Quilt is finished!

I did it.  I actually finished a large-ish (for me) quilt!  I started this way back when, and then put it aside, and then went back to it.  And now it's done.  Quilted, bound, and washed and crinkled.

Here's the beginning of it.  Strips sewn together and then trimmed.  Mindlessly soothing and so easy, and given that I cannot match points very well, not stressful at all.

Chugging along with it.

Finished!

Why didn't anyone tell me how much fun this could be?  Even my crummy hand quilting was fun.  The part I liked the most?  Sewing the squares.  I can do this forever.  The part I liked least?  Sewing the squares together.  It's called "Fear of not getting points to match", but I'm content enough with the final results.

Congratulations, it turned out great! Masculine, but far from bland or boring - two common misconceptions about "what men like".

Nicely done! I love all of the blues in this quilt.

Thanks. It was so much fun that I'm doing another.

That looks great in blues. And if it's from shirts and hand quilted, it must be super soft. Where's a good book and a rainy day? That's what you need with that quilt to curl up and read the day away. Cozy cozy.

This is a great quilt. I, too, love sewing string/strip blocks. And your colors and layout looks so good. I need to think shirts, think shirts, think shirts. ;-)

Love your blue string quilt. I too am a string block lover. They are especially addictive when I have so many scraps to use up. it's like getting a free quilt. Yours looks super soft -- hand quilting -- OMG!!

It looks great. I've only ever made a string block once in contrasting colours. These blues are gorgeous.

Beautiful! I love the pattern formed in the circles by the different shades. Great job!

Oops, I meant formed in the 'squares' not the 'circles. I've already had a long day.
