More Valse Brillante blocks
A few more that I made since Thursday. I'm in no hurry here; the best part is picking out the fabrics to see what goes with what. Sometimes they don't quite work, but It doesn't much matter. These pieces are about 5.5" across so I'm going to need a lot of them, and if one doesn't work one place, it might do OK somewhere else. At any rate, here are the first 5 in no particular order.
I hand-baste the pieces. I did try glue basting once, but it was a colossal pain to take the papers out, and I like to reuse them. It's not much more work, and the papers will just pop out. The centers have their papers out already. Nothing else since I don't know what I'm going to join with what.

I love that shape - I was really surprised to enjoy EPP as much as I have when I started to do it but found the accuracy so much better than when I do regular hand piecing. (or machine piecing lol)
I'm hoping that glue basting won't be an issue when I have to take the papers out of my project. Ahem, it probably will.
Those are delightful little blocks. Is the centre appliquéd or are all the pieces done using EPP?

You're moving right along! I love the blues and browns together.
I also prefer thread basting but still use a glue stick on curves. Someone told me to iron a piece to loosen the glue before popping out the paper but I'm not to that stage yet so I don't know if it works or not...
These are great, a unique EPP project. What's great is that the overall shape is still hexie so when you're ready to lay them out they could be teamed with other hexie shapes or blocks. This project is going to have an interesting development!
